You and your team of travel agents must create a travel brochure using Microsoft Office Publisher to educate travelers about life in ancient Egypt incorporating text and graphics.  Your group will also produce a travel Poster that will entice travelers to come to this ancient country. Your poster should represent some aspect your team believes is representative of your travel brochure.   You will then present your information in a Microsoft Office PowerPoint show consisting of 5 slides.

Your class will be divided into groups of 4 participants.  Each group will work on one of the travel brochure guides below. You can find information to help you create your project by accessing the student resources as well as the material from the resource table your teacher will have in your classroom.   Each member will focus on gathering information about one aspect listed for each brochure.  The final product must include information about all four aspects listed for that brochure along with representative graphics.  Your travel agent team will also make a travel poster that represents what you learned while creating your brochure. Finally, your team will also make a PowerPoint presentation consisting of 5 slides that will be presented to your classmates. Templates are available for you to use and your teacher will help you download them.

Teacher Resources

It will aid your students if you can gather together books, magazines and even travel materials about Ancient Egypt to create a resource table in your classroom for students to access. If you have a scanner available, they can scan and use images from your resources or they may be able to read and gain information from your resources for their project components. Below are links to templates created with Microsoft Office that you can download for your students to use for their brochures and presentations. You can also have them create their brochures without the templates if you wish. Posters can be created on poster boards with materials from the internet, books in your classroom or with images and art created by the students.
